He Shoots :: He Scores

Here are a couple of videos of Lucius from this past weekend. We had our next to last game this past Sunday. The final games are in two weeks (they are skipping Mother's Day weekend) with a trophy ceremony at the end of the two games.

We had SO many of our players there, Tom wasn't sure how to substitute the players fairly. REALLY...there were only two of our team members there on Sunday. We had to BORROW a player from the other team to play the first game. The second game the other coach decided we could just play two on two the whole time. It was a make-up game from the very first game of the season, so maybe the parents didn't realize it? I think that maybe we should make sure to call all the parents before the next game to remind them. Oops...that might have fallen into coach's wife duties. I've never had to remember that kind of thing before. ANYWAYS. Onto the videos.

The first one is of Lucius scoring a goal! After knocking down a kid or two. Seriously, when they get older it's a good thing. But at this age, I felt like Lucius was a bull in a china cabinet. I kept having to apologize to the parents of the other kids....while secretly screaming "Go get 'um tiger!" to myself.




The next two video's are of Lucius chasing after the ball, knocking other kids down, and just having a great time! He has gotten so much more aggressive than the first couple of weeks. He still comes to sit with me whenever he feels like it, but he def stayed out on the field longer this weekend. And it didn't hurt that I kept promising (bribing) his with ice pops if he would go out there and score another goal.
