Be careful what you wish for...

LAST weekend I let the kids get out in the kiddie pool and jokingly made a comment about them not being sick yet......

On Monday, Maggie's nose started running! I pulled out the humidifier....which by the way is almost as old as I am.


On Tuesday her teacher sent home a note that she was really fussy all day and had a low grade fever, along with some green snot. I gave her Motrin and the fever went away. Wednesday, I let Tom take her to daycare. Then, around lunch I started to feel guilty about her being at school and not feeling well, so I went and pick both Maggie and Lucius up.


Thursday morning Maggie work up with a fever so I kept her at home with me. By that afternoon she had a fever of 103.5 and I called the doctors office to get an appointment. It turned out to be a pretty nasty ear infection and she has been taking antibiotics ever since. I pretty much hung out with Abbie Grace and Maggie the past five days.

In case you were wondering, I did step on the scales last Tuesday and had lost three pounds. As soon as my doctor okays it (I have my post op checkup on Thursday), I will start doing some exercising.

The next two weeks are going to FLY by. I have so much that I want to get accomplished. I need to start off by writing thank you notes for the baby gifts that I received.

Then a little spring cleaning is in order. I have a little shopping to do ( my MIL sent me a Kohl's gift card for some post baby clothes! Which I am extremely excited about!) And I also have scrapbooking to work on. I was finally able to get to the storage unit this weekend to pick up the rest of my paraphernalia.

I HAVE to start working on a schedule for Abbie Grace. She will have to start taking a bottle soon to get her ready for daycare (I plan on pumping during the day.) We also have to get her use to a swing because those daycare ladies aren't going to hold her all day long!!!! Hopefully that will also allow me to get some things done.

Tomorrow I will check back in with my progress with the weight loss and maybe share a recipe or two. We are trying Shrimp Scampi (healthy style) tonight. If it is a success, I'll let you in on the recipe.

Here's the picture of the sling that I promised sometime last week and never got a chance to post. Abbie Grace seems to like it, though I haven't quite got the hang of putting it on right.
