Happy Valentine's Day

So, I have had a pretty good day. I woke up this morning and Tom had gotten up with the kids. He straightened up the den and kitchen. AND to top it off, he cooked breakfast for the entire family (all seven of us). He even got my mom to cut the kids pancakes into hearts. At my seat was a bouquet of roses and lilies and two valentines cards: one from Tom and one from the kids.

Now, there are times when I feel that my husband has no idea how to be spontaneous and thoughtful, but today was not one of those days!!!!! I have to give him a big THANK YOU for all that he did today. Did I mention that he even took my car to get the oil changed and gotten it washed and vacuumed out?

Although we didn't get to have a romantic dinner, we did go out to eat on Friday night. We took the kids to 'Chicken Play' (for those of you that don't know, this is Lucius' favorite place to go....also known as Chick-fil-a). Not your traditional Valentines day fare, but I enjoyed hanging out with just Tom and the kids. The indoor playroom is a great place for them to burn some energy before bedtime.
