Lucius is playing on the three and four year old Micro soccer league team. (The Red team for those of you who are color blind...hehe). This past Sunday was their first games. Each team plays two 20 minute games with a ten minute break between.
The first game was a little low key, so all of the kids got a chance to kick at the ball. However, the second game was quite a bit more up key. I know that the green team had to have a ringer....he had to be at least five or six. They had one kid that kept the ball the entire 20 minutes. Our poor little girls (and Lucius) all came running over to the side lines crying because 'that little boy wouldn't let them have the ball.'
Of course Maggie loved to be outside watching Lucius play ball. She even got in on the action at the break.
Tom had grown up playing soccer and has been counting down the years, days, minutes for the chance to get to coach his son and daughters. I think that he found it a little bit more than he expected on his first coaching experience. But I'm sure that next week will go more smoothly.
Lucius did a really good job of keeping the ball in front of him. He only grabbed the ball with his hands a couple of times!!!

Looks like a beautiful day for soccer! I love it! I am doing the same things with mine- holding the 1 year old back to let the 3 year old play! It's a work out for mommy, for sure!
