Stuck inside with nothing to do...

What a day. We were supposed to be headed to the soccer fields today for our second week of games. However, mother nature had something else in mind. The kids needed something to do, so I found a recipe for finger paint! I think that they may have had more fun stirring than actually painting!


Recipe: 2 cups cold water, 2 cups white flour, divide into separate plates or bowl and add 1 drop of food coloring to each bowl.

We set up the kids table in the garage to keep the mess to a minimum. The only colors that we had were red and green, but the red turned pink. I found that mixing pink and green makes a kind of purplish mauve color.

This has to be the best picture ever that I have taken of Maggie, and of course she has one of Lucius's old shirts on instead of one of her cute pink ones! My mom and I also had to add the pink bow because she looked too much like a little boy!!! sshhhh don't tell Maggie......one day she will eventually get some hair.

We had a great time! Next time we are going to get a roll of paper so that they can make an even bigger mess! Hopefully next weekend it won't rain. We are planning to get some sand for the kids' sandbox.
